Pat Orr was born in Cairo, Georgia. She Graduated from Valdosta State College with a B.S., from Georgia State University with an M. S, and Nova University with a Reading Specialist Degree. She taught school in grades 1-8 for forty years and taught drama all of those years and for the last ten years of retirement. She has directed for schools, churches, and community theaters. Her favorite venue has been TOSAC and her favorite show is The Sound of Music. She considers the best of times as those when the lights come up on another production with another group of young people.
Kimsey Hodge has been a part of TOSAC since 2001 when she moved here from Clemson, South Carolina. The first play she acted in was Man of La Mancha. Since then, she has acted, sung, and directed her way through many shows. She has two sons, Mason and Jax, who grew up in the TOSAC theater. Kimsey teaches 6th grade Reading at MacIntyre Park Middle School and teaches/coaches Odyssey of the Mind (OM) at Scholars Academy. Drama and OM may be her two passions, but her two sons – one at Georgia Tech and the other at Scholars Academy – are the reasons she breathes.
Karen Farmer was born & raised in Faith, North Carolina. She has a BS in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University. She taught elementary school in NC, Thomas County and Thomasville City Schools. Karen has always loved the excitement of live theater. The last few years she has enjoyed working with TOSAC as a volunteer and Board Member. It’s fascinating to see what goes into the productions way before the lights begin to shine on the stage. Karen absolutely adores her husband, Keith and their collective “million children”, Sarah, Anna, Kaleb and Kaitlyn.
Dr. Lisa Watson has been involved with Thomasville on Stage and Company beginning with her children’s participation in the summer youth musicals since 2011. Over the years her volunteerism grew into a more active role as a Board Member and Secretary for the organization. Always a patron of the arts, Dr. Watson serves as a Board Member for the Thomasville Music and Drama Troupe, assists in fundraising and supporting the needs of the Thomasville City Schools Drama Program (TCSDP), and serves as the theater and art Merit Badge Counselor for Boy Scout Troop 306. She was honored to receive the “Mrs. What’s Needed” award by the TCSDP 2018 graduating seniors last year at their annual banquet! In her spare time, she can he found toting her kids around to see and experience the many local and regional theater offerings we have available in our own backyard.
